We welcome you to come with us on a memorable hike.

To join us for a guided interpretive nature hike, fill out this preliminary contact information. We will email you with available dates within your interested range. Once a date is selected, we will email you with a participant form for the group which, when completed, then secures your hike on our calendar. Also, we will send a release form to be filled out by each adult in the group. Actual trail selection may not take place until a few days before the scheduled hike, and will consider weather, conditions, participant interests and abilities (see Levels of Difficulty). Most of our hikes start around 8 am to allow for parking, to encounter less crowds and to help avoid afternoon storms that are so common (in summer). Some of the better trails may require a drive (usually less than an hour) to the trailhead.

Summit Nature Hikes is not for profit undertaking.

Our hikes are offered at no charge to you.

Our aim is to foster appreciation for our National Forests and to share our passion for mountain nature with you. Furthermore, being a nonprofit permits us to access more of the National Forest Wilderness than if we were commercial.

Participants will need transportation to and from the trailhead (see FAQ), and will need to bring essentials (see List of things to bring Summer )

If you are unable to make a hike already planned, please let us know before the day of the hike. Hikes may be canceled by the guides due to weather or other untenable circumstances.

Let’s get together for a grand nature hike!
